Features and innovations
Construction features :
We use the finest materials, chosen for their resistance, beauty and
durability: Kevlar reinforcement in the bow sections, antimonious Lead
keels, more expensive but improved performance in safety and
maintenance. Superb strength and integrity are achieved with a bonded
and through-bolted hull to deck joint, capped with a durable PVC
rubrail.
On the deck:
- the B&R –Bergstrom & Ridder- rig design for a more powerful
mainsail : this backstay less rig allows the use of a highly efficient,
large-roach mainsail, and of a smaller genoa. This proves to be easier
for the cruising sailor to manage this sailplan than a conventional
one, especially in heavier wind conditions.
- Stainless steel cockpit arch: Locating the mainsheet traveler atop the
arch keeps the loading at the aft end of the boom, rather than suffer
the boom bending loads. The arch also provides safety as a secure
cockpit handhold, offers protection from the boom and provides
excellent support for cockpit canvas and mounting location for cockpit
speakers and lightings.
- Walk through transoms: Provides an easy way to board from the sea or
pier. When raised, the hinging helmsman seat closes the walk-through
while sailing. Integral seats, storage, telescoping swim ladder, and
cockpit showers are included on most models.
- Cockpit design for comfort and safety : all lines are led aft,
providing easy and safe control over the B&R rig. Comfortable
seating and good visibility for skipper and crew are within a secure
environment provided by the robust pushpit integrated with the cockpit
arch - part of the many safety and comfort features of our yachts.
nterior comforts Hunter salons are open, airy and comfortable.
Standard equipment on most models includes Liquid Propane Gas stove
with oven, microwave oven, a front opening refrigeration system, and
optional freezer capacity or a wine cooler. Accommodations are wide and
very comfortable, and on larger models a choice between two or three
cabins layout.
