ELCO Motor Yachts and HUNTER MARINE corporation have jointly developed a sailboat Hunter 27 with electric propulsion.

The diesel engine is replaced by one electric engine Elco EP-1000de 10 cv having  the same power as the standard diesel engine of 14 CV.

The engine Elco is totally green and is classified " Zero Emission " because as it is running exclusively  on batteries (6 batteries without maintenance of 12 V 214 A/h)

These batteries are rechargeable using electric plugs in harbor  and / or with adapted equipments on the boat such as  wind turbine or solar panels.
